M Space is Recognized by the Modular Building
Institute with Awards of Distinction

M Space was Honored with Three Awards at the 2010 World of Modular Conference.

The World of Modular Conference is hosted by the Modular Building Institute and takes place every spring.   The Awards of Distinction Ceremony is part of the conference, and businesses throughout the commercial modular industry are recognized and honored for their projects, achievements and marketing efforts.

The MBI Awards of Distinction contest is the commercial modular industry's premier awards program.   An impartial panel of industry and non-industry construction and code experts, architects, engineers and marketing professionals, reviews each entry.   Building entries are judged on architectural excellence, technical innovation, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency and calendar days to complete.

This year, M Space took home three awards. They won first place in the Renovated Reuse – Greatest Renovation Category for a school complex they built in Gillespie, IL.   M Space helped the school to recover and rebuild after mine subsidence destroyed their elementary school.   M Space also won Best of Show and an Honorable Mention for their Emergency Response Campaign, which included a postcard with detachable business card sent to Emergency Management Associates nationwide.

"We are very proud of our accomplishments this year.   It is especially rewarding to be recognized for our renovated reuse project.   We were very pleased to have been able to help Community Unit School District #7 in Gillespie, IL recover after such a sudden and devastating disaster.   Having the modular complex on their campus in under 90 days really helped the school to get back up and running and provided a safe and secure building for the students."
