M Space Helps Bayou La Batre Police Department Recover After Hurricane Katrina |

The town of Bayou La Batre, AL was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Not only were homes destroyed, but many businesses and government agencies were as well, including the Bayou La Batre Police Department. Hurricane Katrina destroyed both the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit and their Evidence Property Building. The department needed an immediate solution so they could continue to protect and serve their community. M Space donated (2) 10’ x 44’ modular units, and had the Police Department back up and running with complete resources within a few weeks. "Without the space we would have really been hard-pressed. Storing evidence is a key to any Police Department and without the modular buildings I don’t know what we would have done." |
