Modular buildings are constructed in sections, like building blocks. The modules are completed much faster and are often less expensive and more flexible than conventional construction. 

When compared to on-site methods, the integrity of modular structures is inherently stronger and performs much better than conventional framing. When it comes to durability, both methods utilize identical (or comparable) materials - windows, doors, fixtures, hardware, trim and finishes.  Both methods have to conform to the same regional, state and local building codes and requirements. 

A key benefit of modular construction framing is that construction takes place indoors, where lumber and other materials are kept clean and dry and the environmental impact on the site is minimized. Construction within the controlled factory environments eliminates weather delays, which also lowers overall costs.

Modular construction offers the same quality as traditional construction, but the process is much faster, resulting in earlier occupancy and significant savings. Modular construction is faster because the construction and site work phases occur concurrently –in the factory and on-site.
