Funding Green Schools

In August, 2008, M Space sponsored the, “Designing and Funding Florida’s Green Schools” Workshop in Sarasota, Florida.   The participants included public, charter and private schools as well as power companies, contractors, architects and manufacturers.  

The workshop featured Michael Carlson, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP from Design Studio Architects.  Carlson educated the group on the many ways Green Buildings can reduce costs and create a better environment for people to live and work. 

The second presenter, Jan McAdams, a Funding and Fundraising consultant for Green Buildings, shared with the crowd her knowledge and ideas on how to raise the funds needed to construct a Green Building.

The workshop was a huge success.  All the attendees learned a lot, received a tour of the highest scoring LEED-NC project in Florida, and had the opportunity to network, ask questions and exchange ideas with each other and the presenters.
