Because used modular buildings can be delivered immediately they offer a fast and efficient space solution. Take Long Beach Island (LBI) Consolidated School District in New Jersey for example. One of their elementary schools was damaged badly after Hurricane Sandy and they needed an immediate space solution. We provided them with 7,712 square feet of temporary modular space including eight classrooms, restrooms and administrative space with connecting decks and walkways. The used modular classrooms were delivered and installed within three weeks, allowing the students to return to their normal schedule.
Currently, LBI no longer has a need for temporary space as their current building has since been repaired. These buildings are now available and waiting to take on a new purpose for a new school. As many of you are aware from our previous blogs, this past year we were fortunate enough to continue our partnership with Classical Academy that originated in 2010. We were initially able to provide them with a 24,304 sq. ft. temporary modular campus that consisted of 21 classrooms and an administrative office building.
By 2014 the school had outgrown their temporary campus and was in need of a permanent space solution. We once again worked with Classical Academy and provided them with a 50,000 sq. ft. modular school that consisted of 32 classrooms, 3 science labs, 2 conference rooms, guidance & administrative offices, nurse’s office, library, art & music rooms and multi-stall restrooms.
By partnering with Classical Academy on their temporary and permanent campuses we’ve had the opportunity to help with two very important milestones. Below is a great time lapse video that showcases the new permanent modular campus. Check it out!

2015 has been an eventful year for M SPACE. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work on many great projects this past year. As we reflect back at what we’ve accomplished, one project in particular stands out the most. Our most memorable project in 2015 was the 50,000 sq. ft. permanent modular school we constructed for Classical Academy.
Our partnership with Classical Academy originally began in 2010 after they first received their charter. The school needed an entire campus in a short period of time and decided modular construction was their best option. By utilizing pre-leased modular buildings, the campus could be delivered immediately and would be ready for when classes started in the fall. The final campus was 24,304 sq. ft. of temporary modular space that consisted of 21 classrooms and an administrative office building.
By 2014, Classical Academy was out growing their temporary campus and in need of a permanent space solution. Because they were satisfied with the quality of their temporary buildings and the working relationship they had with us, they again decided to use M SPACE and modular construction for their new permanent school. We worked closely with Classical Academy to design a 50,000 square foot modular school that would accommodate K-12 students. The new modular campus consists of 32 classrooms, 3 science labs, 2 conference rooms, guidance & administrative offices, nurse’s office, library, art & music rooms and multi-stall restrooms. The modular campus is also equipped with cutting edge technology such as fiber optic wiring, smart boards in every classroom and a lockdown system.
